Diary of a Wimpy Kid Disney+ Animated Series

Disney+ has officially greenlit a new animated series based on the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series by Jeff Kinney. The series will follow Greg Heffley, a middle schooler who navigates the ups and downs of adolescence. The series will premiere on Disney+ in 2023.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books have been a global phenomenon, with over 250 million copies sold worldwide. The books have been translated into more than 60 languages and have been adapted into several live-action films. The Disney+ animated series will be produced by Bardel Entertainment, the animation studio behind Rick and Morty. Kinney will serve as executive producer on the series.
