As the nation approaches the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, communities across Connecticut are planning events to honor the victims and remember the heroic efforts of first responders.

• Bridgeport: 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Bridgeport Fire Department Headquarters, 255 North Avenue, 6:30 pm
• Hartford: 9/11 Memorial Service at the State Capitol, 210 Capitol Avenue, 10:00 am
• New Haven: 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the New Haven Fire Department Headquarters, 145 Chapel Street, 6:00 pm

Saturday, September 10

• Danbury: 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Danbury War Memorial, 1 Memorial Drive, 10:00 am
